Rick Ross hit Twitter last week and questioned the rising popularity of the metaverse and crypto. According to Yahoo Finance, the Miami rap superstar may have a valid point; many professionals have questioned the longevity of the NFT space, which is grouped into crypto.

“See that’s the thing about Rick Ross. That’s the thing about the boss!” he says in a video. “Y’all gettin’ so much money, where you at? Show us. Show my homies what the metaverse about—one of y’all big money, crypto, guru picture takers. Where you at?”

Also last week, the NFT market crashed and the Port of Miami Rapper returned to social media with a video that jokingly floated the idea that he may be the cause.

"I just woke up heard that the NFT market crashed 92 percent. I hope that wasn't because of my post. Somebody from NFT call me and tell me this shit crashed on its own, and Rosay ain't responsible," he posted.

The Wall Street Journal last week reported that NFT sales are flatlining because sales of NFTs fell to a daily average of about 19,000 from a peak of 225,000 in September. Many analysts say that the reports of an NFT 'market collapse' are greatly exaggerated.
