In another part of the interview, Fat Joe explains how he played a role in creation of Biggie's hit with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, "Notorious Thugs."
"Fat Joe tells some stories you don't believe but then you realize it's the f-ckin' truth because somebody would've said, 'It's a lie,'" he says. "It sounds like a fantasy. I'm sorry, but it really happened. I lived a good life. I was everywhere."
He explains how he played a major role in the Biggie and Bone's connection.
"I was signed to Relativity Records. It was me, the Beatnuts, Common, M.O.P., Chi Ali, and Bone Thugs N Harmony, and so I clicked up with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony right away. I would go to Cleveland and hang out with them, I would ride with them on their tour. These guys sold 30 million records. They were selling out stadiums. Biggie hit me up and was like, 'Yo, bro. I'm trying to get in touch with your guys, they're ignoring me.' They didn't want to do a song with Biggie. Just for Biggie to think that advanced, because New York wasn't up on Bone Thugs like that.He knew that they were gigantic and he was like, 'Yo, I need to do a song with them... I know you're the plug, you can do it.'"
He then says it almost didn't happen because they were cool with 2Pac, having . "I was like, this is B.I.G. You know what it is to do a song with B.I.G.? So I convinced them. Now every time I see that picture [of them in the studio together] I laugh, because that's how we got that."
