New Jack Swing pioneer Al B. Sure has announced his memoir, Do You Believe Me Now, which is scheduled for release on 09/9. On a social media post, he wrote, "There’s an entire journey, before the coma and everything in between, stretching from wonderfully inspiring, to some truly dark and disturbing sh*t that to most would say sound like an Alfred Hitchcock novel. I can’t make this sh*t up. An ambitious kid athlete from $ Earnin’ Mt. Vernon to selling millions of records, traveling the world and then boom."
Al B. Sure is one of the first successful artists on Andre Harell's Uptown Records, ushering in New Jack Swing, a modern version of r&b infused with electronic production and, elements of Hip-Hop. Sure's debut album In Effect Mode produced the singles "Nite And Day","Off On Your Own", and "If I'm Not Your Lover".
