The final nominations for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have not yet been announced, but according to AllHipHop and a social media post by Eric B's manager Louis Gregory, the duo has been nominated. "Eric B. & Rakim have been nominated for the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Representing Eric B is not just my job, its an honor," his post read.

The nomination marks the second for the groundbreaking duo, as they were also nominated in 2012.

If inducted, Eric B. & Rakim will join Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5, Public Enemy, NWA, The Beastie Boys, LL COOL L,Missy Elliot, and Kool Herc as Hip-Hop recipients of the prestigious honor.

Eric B. & Rakim's groundbreaking 1987 debut album Paid In Full is credited as a pivotal release in one of Hip-Hop's most creative periods. Nas, Eminem, and many artists have cited the release as a direct influence.
