Franklin is on top of the world. He’s extraordinarily wealthy, in a loving relationship with a beautiful woman, and seemingly escaped the drug game unscathed. He asks Veronique to marry him to solidify his new life as a family man.
All is well. Until, well… It isn’t.
His money is gone. $73 million just disappeared. Franklin’s offshore accounts around the world were jacked. There is only one person who could have done this: Teddy.
Franklin’s rage is in rare form, and he’s out for blood. He wants his money back and to finally kill Teddy, but he has to find him first. However, despite the devastating scene, Avi is alive. Reuben, the KGB agent, kidnapped him because Avi is crucial in bringing down Teddy, the Russian spy’s ultimate mission. After Reuben tortures Avi for a few hours, they come to an agreement: Avi will disclose the location of documents incriminating Teddy, and in exchange, Rueben will let him go. Reuben collects the essential intel from Avi’s home, but then Teddy shows up with Parissa. A consistently skilled operative, Reuben manages to slip by Teddy and snatch Parissa. Back in the torture chamber, in hopes of further proving his worth, Avi gives Rueben one more piece of key information: Teddy no longer works directly for the CIA and is only a contractor. With that, Reuben no longer has any use for Avi and kills him.
Franklin turns to Oso for help locating Teddy. But Oso is working through his own Teddy-related issues. His girlfriend finds a tracking device in their home. The obvious assumption is Teddy planted it. Oso decides to make a run for it, but Teddy is one step ahead of him. The DEA intercepts and arrests him while he’s picking up his stash money from a storage unit. Teddy tipped them. His only allegiance remains to the US government. He informs his superior he seized over $70 million. With the Contra wars in Nicaragua coming to an end, the money can be used for other endeavors. Ironically, Franklin’s cash is re-establishing Teddy’s good standing with the CIA.
