Smif-N-Wessun Gear Up To Drop New Album, 'Infinity'

Smif-N-Wessun are set to release their new album, Infinity, coinciding with the 30th. anniversary of their classic and revered debut, Dah Shinin’. Infinity will be released on Bucktown USA Entertainment/ Duck Down Music.

The first single, “Infinity” will be released on January 10th followed by “Elephant In The Room” both produced by Khrysis, February 7th. A third single, “Medina” featuring Pharoahe Monch produced by SND*TRK,will be released with the album on February 21st.

Executive Produced by college professor and world renowned producer, 9th Wonder and the Soul Council, 9th explains the thought process with the album. “I wanted to make sure that it didn't sound dated. It sounds like them, but it's also new. They are our generation's version of Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Donald Byrd.” Featured artists on the project include, Buckshot, Pharoahe Monch, Conway the Machine, Sean Price, Prodigy, Ralph Tresvant, and rising stars, Sweta and Jalisa

In other Smif-N-Wessun news, the duo embarked on the Still Shinin' tour earlier this year. “It’s Hip Hop, it’s going to be exciting,” Steele explained. “I don’t want to say, ‘throwback’ but it’s going to have a feeling of just coming to a show and having fun.” “When we on tour, we see generations that come to our shows,” says Tek. “At some shows, we have kids that are 9, 11, 13 years old with their dads, and their dads had their dad, and they all rocking, and they know the words too.”
