Snoop's love of football is well documented — he's even set to star in/produce the upcoming football comedy The Underdoggs, which is currently in the works. He's confident the AFC will bring home the win.
“I’m comin’ back to the NFL field, but this time, instead of performing, I’m going head-to-head with Pete and competing for the title of The Pro Bowl Games Champion,” he told People. “The competition is going to go off, but we all know that Peyton and our AFC squad are gonna do some big things. We’ll end up on that podium.”
While Snoop's win on the field is still yet to be determined, he did score a big win in music. Earlier this week, it was announced he's being inducted into the 2023 Songwriters Hall of Fame.
“Damn, Songwriters Hall of Fame? That’s big,” he said in a celebratory video. “And just to think, I’ve been telling people for the past seven years, ‘Who you wanna do a song with, Snoop?’ I’d always say Sade. And now we going to the Songwriters Hall of Fame on the same day. Not only that, Teddy Riley? New jack swing? I’m going in with him? Man, God is good. Just a little kid from the East Side of Long Beach that had a big ass dream. It is true that dreams can come true. If it happened to me, it can happen to you. Keep dreaming, keep believing, keep being you. Keep God in your life. Do more right than wrong. Make your life a song. Thank you.”
As for the 2023 Pro Bowl Games, they will begin airing live on Thursday, Feb. 2. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN/ABC from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 5 at 3 p.m. ET.
