Slick Rick has announced Victory, his first new full-length project since 1999's The Art Of Storytelling. Victory has an expected release date of 6/13, and is executive produced by Idris Elba and Slick Rick. “Victory is all about perseverance, storytelling, imagination and evolution," says Rick.

"A visual blend of art and heart — a sonic journey that reflects where I’ve been and where I’m going. Victory isn’t just music — it’s a bold in your face statement, showcasing British artistry at its finest!”

Victory will be released via 7Wallace, Elba's record label in conjunction with Mass Appeal with a 30-minute immersive film, directed by Meji Alabi, who produced Beyoncé’s Black Is King. The short film brings Victory to life through bold imagery and narrative depth.

Slick Rick collaborated with legendary photographer Jonathan Mannion and brand storytellers Equator Studios. The music was mixed by Young Guru, with album artwork developed in partnership with British agency PAQ and Rick’s own Team Eye Patch. 

Victory premieres on 6/7 at the inaugural SXSW London at Shoreditch Town Hall followed by an In Conversation with Slick Rick, Idris Elba and film director, Meji Alabi. In New York, the film will premiere at the Tribeca Festival on 13 June at SVA 1 Theater, followed by a Q&A with Slick Rick.
