Nipsey Hussle to Receive Star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame

Nipsey Hussle will get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week. The posthumous honor comes during the same week it was announced that a Los Angeles Metro Station would be dedicated to the late rapper.

Hussle was first nominated for the star back in 2021, and The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced he will posthumously receive his star during a ceremony on Monday (Aug. 15), on what would've been his 37th birthday. The late rapper joins NFL legend Michael Strahan, actor Michael B. Jordan, and the Black Eyed Peas who'll also receive a star.

Other rappers who have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame include 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and Ludacris, who'll receive his star in 2023.

As for the station, it will serve the Hyde Park K Line and is located in Nipsey Hussle Square.

“From Slauson and all the way to Vernon, you will see world-class pieces of art, celebrating the history and the legacy of African American people,” Los Angeles Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson said. “Everybody who comes to L.A. and rides the train out of the airport is gonna see it. Is that alright?”
