Attorney Aaron Jansen suggested that the shooting happened after a conversation between Holder and Asghedom, where Asghedom notified Holder that he was a rumored informant working with law enforcement.
"The heat of passion consisted of being called publicly a snitch by someone as famous as Nipsey Hussle," said Jenson. "This is a provocation that stirs up rage and powerful emotion."
Jansen attempted to paint Holder, who allegedly had connections to the same Rollin' 60's Los Angeles gang as Nipsey, `as a changed man, who was simply visiting the neighborhood which he hadn't been to for years to get a meal. "The two men had a conversation that intensified with an accusation," he said.
District attorney John McKinney painted Hussle as an internationally known recording artist with close ties to the community. "It really is a shame that his life was so coldly and brutally taken, on his own property, in his own neighborhood, by someone from his own gang," said McKinney.
