The original version of the song, which is featured on Queen Radio: Volume 1, helped Nicki score another major victory in a career that's been full of them. With it, she became the first solo female rapper to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill in 1998. The song, which samples Rick James' 1981 classic "Super Freak," also marked her first Hot 100 No. 1 as an unaccompanied artist and her third overall.
Nicki performed the song in a medley of her hits at the MTV VMAs last month, where she also received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
