Kendrick Lamar, Diddy, Raekwon, Q-Tip, Robert De Niro and More Celebrate Nas' 50th in NYC

Hip-Hop turned 50 and so did Nasir Jones. On Thursday, September 14 Nas brought out his rapper and celebrity homies to enjoy the celebration including Kendrick Lamar, Diddy, Q-Tip, Fat Joe, Raekwon, N.O.R.E., Jadakiss, Mary J. Blige, Styles P, DJ Premier, Hit-Boy, AZ, Havoc, Chris Rock, and Robert De Niro.

In addition, The Roots performed at the star-studded birthday celebration, with Black Thought offering a toast to Queensbridge legend.

Snoop Dogg welcomed Nas to the 50's club, though he was not in attendance at the party. “Nasty Nas, welcome to the fifth floor, cuz,” he said. “It’s beautiful up here too, man. You been dancing around the fourth floor for nine years, maybe 10. Now you on the fifth floor. So, what’s up here? Happiness, tranquility and plenty fire. This your birthday cake candle. Happy birthday. Queensbridge.”

In addition to celebrating his birthday, Nas dropped of the third installment of his Magic trilogy, Magic III, produced entirely by Hit-Boy. The 15-track project includes “Superhero Status," “No Tears," “Pretty Young Girl," “Sitting With My Thoughts," “Jodeci Member," “Japanese Soul Bar," and more, with Lil Wayne showing up as the lone feature on the song, "Never Die."
