Chuck D, Fat Joe, Method Man, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, and French Montana have joined forces with Power To The Patients to demand healthcare price transparency with a new PSA.

The PSA demands that our elected officials commit to creating transparency within the healthcare system, to allow more honest, equitable and affordable healthcare across the country. The PSA, which comes in a 30 second and a one-minute version, will air on television in D.C. and selected markets across the U.S. as well as online. In the piece, Chuck D calls the lack of transparency regarding the costs of health care "an American humanitarian crisis," while Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and French Montana demand actual prices in healthcare, "not averages, not estimates, but real prices."

Fat Joe visited the White House and met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill earlier this year to advocate for patients, employees, and communities across the nation who have been taken advantage of by the healthcare system.

“Our healthcare system needs comprehensive reform and I remain committed to using my platform to work alongside Power to the Patients and give a voice to the voiceless,” Fat Joe told The Hill in an exclusive statement. “We must demand accountability from hospitals and insurers, so people can get a transparent understanding of the cost of their medical bills and make more informed financial decisions on healthcare services. With prices hidden, often times, the bills are not even consistent at the same hospital,” he added. “It’s tearing families apart.”
