iONE digital's new series, Listen to Black Men, takes a deep dive into the health of Black men, both physically and mentally.
The show, which launched earlier this summer, has featured Hip-Hop stars like Jim Jones, Papoose and Dave East, discussing everything from the healthcare system in the U.S., to parenting and postpartum depression.
“As a man, you gotta understand what your woman just went through, and you really gotta be patient, and you gotta roll out that red carpet," said Papoose, who recently launched the all new Drama Hour on Rock The Bells radio.
He also added that it's important for Black men to have these conversation with one another. "When you talk to fathers and see that other fathers are experiencing the same things, it helps you."
In his episode, Jim Jones spoke about his dedication to working out regularly. “I’ve been working out since high school. I chill with my brothers, every time they go back and forth to jail, they want me to come and do a pull-up bar, dips…they militant,” he laughed. "They wake me up in the morning, like, ‘We gotta go work out.'"
