Ice Cube's 1991 song "No Vaseline" has long been ranked at number one for best diss songs ever, and the subject came up again when Cube was a guest on the Earn Your Leisure podcast. Cube, of course, reaffirmed the track's standing as the greatest ever when the hosts, Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings, said it was "one of the best battle songs of all time."

The top battle song ever,” Cube corrected. "It's not even close."

Cube said the other battle songs that make his "best of" list are Tupac ("Hit Em Up"), Nas ("Ether"), Boogie Down Productions ("The Bridge Is Over"), and Kool Moe Dee ("Let's Go"). “I mean, I would go with, you know, ‘Hit ‘Em Up’ is a good one,” Cube said. “‘Ether’ is dope. I would go with ‘The Bridge Is Over,’ and I don’t know, I think I gotta go with ‘Let’s Go.'"

AllHipHop reported on Cube's "No Vaseline" declaration and Snoop chimed in on their post, co-signing his friend, and Mount Westmore group member's claim. “Hands down he does,” Snoop wrote. “Nothing comes close."

"No Vaseline" was featured on Cube's 1991 classic, Death Certificate, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest rap albums of all-time, and was a scathing diss toward his former N.W.A. group members. Of course, the beef was squashed decades ago, and everyone is on good terms now, so much so, Cube has said it's hard to even listen to the song now.

"There’s always been this and, you know, me and NWA got into it, so I had to let ’em know," he said in a 2017 interview on Late Night Show with Seth Meyers. “It’s hard to listen to those songs now, ’cause we cool, I love Dre and Ren and Eazy and Yella…you know, those are my guys."

On Snoop's end, he's set to release a new album with Dr. Dre, sometime this summer.
