Rage Remembers Rocking With Yo-Yo, MC Lyte, and Salt-N-Pepa at the BET Hip-Hop Awards

Remember one of the dopest performances in BET Hip-Hop Awards history when The Lady Rage, MC Lyte, Yo-Yo, Spindarella, and Salt-N-Pepa took over the stage to run through their respective hits, backing each other up on vocals throughout the set? If not, The Lady of Rage is down to take you on a trip down memory lane. The rap vet reminisced on the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards on Instagram.

The set kicks off with MC Lyte energetically delivering her 1989 classic "Cha-Cha-Cha" before sliding into the chorus of "Ruffneck" for a second. The set then segues into Yo-Yo and her 1991 hit, "You Can't Play With Yo-Yo" with Lyte on backing vocals. The crowd erupts when Rage comes out to rock "Afro Puffs" and Salt-N-Pepa closes out the set with "Shoop" and "Push It." Basically, it was pretty epic, as Rage pointed out.

In other Rage news, she's set to release a new project with the super group, the N'Matez alongside Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, and RBX.  The crew of former Death Row artists and affiliates first formed the N'Matez more than a decade ago, and released the song "Tragical" after numerous collaborations on prominent Death Row albums. Their new 14-track project is set to arrive sometime this year.

In the meanwhile, reminisce with Rage via the clip below.
