Outkast Nominated For 2025 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction

Atlanta duo Outkast has been nominated for 2025 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Mariah Carey, Oasis, Billy Idol, Joe Cocker, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper, and Sound Garden are also nominees for this years class. "This remarkable list of nominees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame honors and celebrates," said chairman of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Foundation, John Syke in a statement. "Continuing in the true spirit of rock and roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps."

In other Outkast news, the group just received Diamond certification of their 2003 track, "Hey Ya!". Diamond certification denotes 10 million or more sales, and this certification is the first for the duo. "Hey Ya!" is from 2003's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which went Diamond in just over a year. Other Hip-Hop artists who have achieved Diamond status include Juicy J, 2Pac, Drake, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Eminem, The Beastie Boys, Cardi B and 50 Cent.
