DC's National Hip-Hop Museum To Honor KRS-ONE, The Fat Boys, Kurtis Blow, Roxanne Shante and More

Washington DC's National Hip-Hop Museum is set to host an induction honoring KRS-ONE, Kurtis Blow, The Fat Boys, Roxanne Shante, DJ Hurricane, The B-Boys, and Sweet G. KRS-ONE and Temple of Hip-Hop will present The National Hip-Museum with The Hip-Hop Declaration of Peace during the ceremony which will be held on April 4 at 5PM at DC's RIAA Headquarters.

The declaration is Hip-Hop's only official document. It recognizes Hip-Hop as an international culture of peace and prosperity and was presented to the United Nations on May 16th 2001. It details 18 guiding principles of Hip-Hop and has been signed by UNESCO and over 300 Hip-Hop activists, pioneers and UN delegates.

The museum's Executive Director, Master Gee of The Sugar Hill Gang will serve as MC, and Grandmaster Caz, the museum's Chairman will host along with Hip-Hop Historian JayQuan. The National Hip-Hop Museum will display some of it's rare, one-of-a-kind and priceless RIAA Gold, Platinum & Diamond plaques from the biggest names in Hip-Hop, curated by museum Digital Curator CLB.

Ceremony Highlights include a live cake fabrication, live painting, a podcast panel with all inductees, The Presentation of The Hip-Hop Declaration of Peace by the Temple of Hip-Hop, and more. The RIAA Headquarters is located at 1000 F St NW, Washington, DC 20004.
