Hip-Hop veterans Nappy Roots are back with a new single, “Hands of Time” from their upcoming album, NAPPY4LIFE.

The track pays homage to Soul II Soul by sampling their 1989 hit “Keep On Moving," and the song fittingly encompasses the same messaging as the original – encouraging perseverance and determination, no matter what the circumstances.

"Perseverance, strength and overcoming the odds are ideas that have echoed throughout the Hip-Hop community since the creation of the genre,” Skinny DeVille exclusively told Rock The Bells.  “As our ninth studio album falls on hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, we wanted to not only acknowledge how far Hip-Hop has overcome, but also pay our respects to fellow hip-hop and R&B legends. That’s why we chose to sample Soul II Soul’s 'Keep on Moving' in this first single off the album.”
