Ludacris was a guest on the latest episode of Drink Champs, where he discussed his defining career moments. One of those moments was winning the Best Rap Album at the 2007 Grammy awards. "This was 10 years [after my first independent singles]," he said. "Every time before when I went to the Grammys, I was in the same category with Eminem, Ja Rule, Jay-Z, and DMX, and they were killin' this shit."

Ludacris shared that Release Therapy was specifically created with a Grammy win in mind. "I was like I'm making this album, and I'm gonna win Best Rap Album with this," the "What's Your Fantasy" MC shared. "When they called my name, that did it for me after a decade of loss."

In other Ludacris news, BET+ is developing an untitled half hour scripted dramedy series inspired by his early days as Cris Lova Lova on the Atlanta radio scene. The script for the will be written and executive produced by Noah Gardenswartz, with Ludacris serving as an executive producer and music supervisor.

Universal television and Luda’s label Disturbing Tha Peace are developing the series along with his longtime manager, Shaka Zulu.

In a recent interview with Rock The Bells, Ludacris broke down his early radio history. “I definitely started on the radio, I was rapping before that but I went to the radio to get my music heard and it ended up working,” the “Area Codes” MC says. “I worked at 97.5 in Atlanta which is now 107.9, that’s really where I got my start. I appreciate everyone who supported me since day one.”
