According to The Hollywood Reporter, BET+ is developing an untitled half hour scripted dramedy series inspired by Ludacris’ early days as Cris Lova Lova on the Atlanta radio scene.

The script for the will be written and executive produced by Noah Gardenswartz, with Ludacris serving as an executive producer and music supervisor.

Universal television and Luda’s label Disturbing Tha Peace are developing the series along with his longtime manager, Shaka Zulu.

In a recent interview with Rock The Bells, Ludacris broke down his early radio history. “I definitely started on the radio, I was rapping before that but I went to the radio to get my music heard and it ended up working,” the “Area Codes” MC says. “I worked at 97.5 in Atlanta which is now 107.9, that’s really where I got my start. I appreciate everyone who supported me since day one.”

Ludacris also announced recently that he will appear as a judge alongside Latto and DJ Khaled in a reboot of the Netflix competition show Rhythm + Flow. After a five-year hiatus the show is scheduled for a season two return later this year.

The first season of the show featured Cardi B., Chance The Rapper, and T.I. as guest hosts.
