Kid Cudi is set to co-star in prolific director John Woo's upcoming feature film Silent Night, as Deadline reports. The rapper-actor will appear alongside actors Joel Kinnaman, Harold Torres, and Catalina Sandino Moreno in the forthcoming action thriller. 

In the film, written by Robert Lynn, the Cleveland native portrays a police officer named Detective Dennis Vassel, who is assigned to investigate the murder of a teen killed in the crossfire of an inner-city gang war. 

Cudi co-stars in Ti West's slasher horror film X, which is currently in theaters. Cudi also recently announced his directorial debut, Teddy, which he describes as "if I took the song 'Pursuit of Happiness' and wrote a movie about it."

Last month, the former G.O.O.D. Music signee announced his breakout mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi, will be making its way to streaming services. The emcee claimed the fan-favorite mixtape will be on all DSPs “very soon” while also announcing a re-release through vinyl pressing.
