Jones, who says that he spends lots of time in the gym, voiced concerns over the amount of protein required for a person who works out. But Chef Charlise assured him that plant-based foods provide the same amounts of protein as his meat based diet.
"That's the misconception," she explained. "Everyone thinks that being vegan means that you're eating a bowl of celery, but you can get the same protein from avocados, chickpeas and plant based meats."
Once the gyros are prepared, Jones admits that he would have never guessed that they are plant-based. "This is good shit,' he said. "This is a good vegan meal and definitely helped me change my mind about this whole vegan lifestyle."
