DJ Jazzy Jeff will spin classic breakbeats for 50 MCs at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on June 17.

The concert, which will be promoted by Philly mainstay Charlie Mack, will include The Sugar Hill Gang, The Treacherous 3, Angie Stone, Melle Mel & Scorpio of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5, J.J. Fad, Roxanne Shante, Kurtis Blow. Onyx, Kwame, Treach, EPMD and The Cold Crush Brothers.

"That's just a slice," Carlie Mack told the Philadelphia Inquirer. Philly acts The Youngstas, Schoolly D and The Tuff Crew are slated to perform as well. 'You're gonna wanna tape this. This is the soundtrack of our lives" Mack continued. "Make sure you go to the bathroom before the show starts," Jazzy Jeff said. "Once the music starts the hits will be dropping fast and furious."

"I’m just happy that something that we went through during a period of time fighting for and hoping that we were going to be able to keep this alive is here, and we’re able to celebrate the 50th anniversary of it," Jeff told rolling out about the concert. "I am in full celebration mode." Doug E. Fresh who helped curate the event spoke about the opportunities that Hip-Hop has provided over the last 50 years. "Hip-Hop is making people happy, giving people jobs, and creating opportunities," he said.

"So many things have come from it. So many TV shows, so many life changes, so many culture changes, and so many people have been brought together through Hip-Hop. It has changed things in a way that made the world a better place and it made us all have this thing that we enjoy so naturally. We’re able to take care of our families, take care of other people’s families, and create other opportunities." Tickets can be purchased here.
