Ghostface Killah and Raekwon Drop New Song; Funk Flex Hints at Unreleased DMX Music

Ghostface Killah and Raekwon dropped new music on Thursday (9/1) in response to Funkmaster Flex's ever-popular challenge. The Wu-Tang tandem rhymed over Syl Johnson's "Different Strokes" and "Catch A Groove" by Juice with their signature coded slang giving their song the feel of an old-school rap tape.

Flex starts the broadcast with a shout-out to Scram Jones, followed by the screams of "This is never gonna be released. This is never gonna be on Spotify. This is what I'm built on, I'm taking it back to gettin' songs weeks before Apple and Spotify. Why? Because I'm in the streets!"

At the end of the song, Flex declares: "Raekwon Ghostface challenge complete, but I have one more challenge. I was told somethin' — a little birdie told me. I heard that there are several unreleased, never coming out DMX songs. Swizz Beatz does not know that I know."

He then challenged Swizz to get him one of the unreleased songs within six days.

Conway The Machine, Juelz Santana and Fabolous have also responded to Flex's recent challenges. Flex called out Juelz Santana back in July.

"Juelz Santana you've been home for a few years now," he said. "I'm tired and exhausted and we want a new Juelz Santana song. Juelz I give you six days. Get me a new song. Do you accept the challenge, yes or no?"

A back-and-forth occurred earlier this summer between Conway The Machine and Flex after Conway publicly accused the DJ of being a gatekeeper who is out of touch with Hip-Hop. Flex issued a challenge to Conway and the two collaborated on a dedication to fallen radio legend Steve Smith.
