Freestyle Fellowship Finally Gets Grammy Nomination for 'To Whom It May Concern'

Legendary west coast rap group Freestyle Fellowship has been recognized by the Grammys for their 1991 critically-acclaimed debut, To Whom It May Concern. The album is nominated in the Best Historical Album category alongside Blondie, Glenn Gould, Doc Watson, and Wilco.

The classic album is widely lauded for its influence, and paved a path for LA underground Hip-Hop.

Also nominated for Grammys this year are Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, DJ Khaled and Jack Harlow who are all nominated for Best Rap Album.Kendrick actually has the second most Grammy nominations this year, with eight for his most recent outing, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Beyoncé leads all nominees with nine for her critically-acclaimed album,Renaissance.Kendrick and Beyoncé are also up for Album of the Year, alongside Mary J. Blige for Good Morning Gorgeous. Additionally, Dave Chappelle is nominated in the comedy album category for the album version of his Netflix special,The Closer.
