Funkmaster Flex has been issues challenges to everyone from Swizz Beatz to Busta Rhymes to The Roots--all in the name of new music. Flex is demanding high-profile vets drop new music, and his latest target is none other than Pusha T.

Flex issued the challenge on Hot 97.

“Swizz Beatz told me that I need to challenge Pusha T to get me a song by next Thursday,” Funk Flex said on his radio show on Thursday night (October 27). “Pusha T, are you up for the challenge? Let’s make something current and cover a lot of discussions.”

Most recently, Funkmaster Flex challenged Philadelphia Hip-Hop band The Roots in mid-October to release new music.

"Did I challenge The Roots to get me two new songs?" Flex asked. "Yeah oh yeah. DJ Questlove are you ready? Black Thought are you ready? Cosmic Kev are you ready?"

Flex has challenged several artists to release new music over the last few months including Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, Busta Rhymes, and he even challenged Swizz Beatz to provide unreleased tracks by the late DMX.
