Hip-Hop super group Mount Westmore (Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40, Too $hort) recently sat down with LL COOL J for an inclusive interview for ROCK THE BELLS radio. The legends talked about everything from music, to Hip-Hop's early days, and their experiences growing up.

"We were in the hood by force, not by choice," E-40 told LL COOL J. LL asked him to elaborate and "unpack that."

"Meaning that was the only place we could afford to live," E-40 explained with a chuckle. "And I wanted to work hard to get out. To this day, I bring the hood to me and stay connected with those who rocked with me, instead of me sitting on the corner, acting like I'm still locked in."

Mount Westmore recently dropped their self-titled album. The 16-track project is the manifestation of years of friendship between the four Hip-Hop legends, their love for their California roots, and their musical kinship.

"When I understood how good of a business decision it was, I didn't realize it was gonna be this much fun," E-40 told ROCK THE BELLS in a recent interview. "Literally, the first time we walked out on stage together, it just was so far away from work as possible. And we even had to have a meeting about, 'hey, stop fanning out on each other onstage and kind of focus.' We doing the show, do the show because it was that much fun that I'm getting caught up in the show. I'm not even on the show. So that was unexpected for me. I didn't realize that much. It was gonna be this goddamned good!"
