The nominees for the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards have been announced, and Drake leads the pack with 14 nominations. Kanye West follows with 10 nominations, while Kendrick Lamar earned nine.
Drake, who released Certified Lover Boy earlier this year, breaking records in the process, is nominated for Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, Hip Hop Album of the Year, Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Hustler of the Year, twice for Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse, three for ‘Best Collaboration, twice for ‘Best Hip Hop Video, and twice for ‘Song of the Year.
Kendrick, who released Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers to much acclaim this year is nominated for Best Live Performer and Lyricist of the Year among others. Doja Cat, Latto, Lil Durk, Tems, andYoung Thug all received three nominations, while Benny The Butcher, City Girls, Fivio Foreign, Glorilla, Jay-Z, Megan Thee Stallion, Nas,and Usher received two nominations each.
