Drake Cancels Young Money Reunion Show After Testing Positive for COVID

Published Tue, August 2, 2022 at 10:26 AM EDT

Drake was forced to cancel his much-anticipated Young Money reunion show after testing positive for COVID-19. He was supposed to hit the stage with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne on Monday night (Aug. 1) during October World Weekend in his hometown of Toronto but had to postpone.

Drake shared the news on Instagram stories, writing that he was "truly devasted" before promising to reschedule soon. “I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked," he said. "Until then I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all.”

Drake isn't the only high-profile performer who had to cancel an appearance due to the virus. Erykah Badu was set to appear at the first-ever Blue Note Festival in Napa Valley this past Saturday (Aug. 30) but had to cancel after contracting COVID.
