On the latest episode of DJ Premier's So Wassup, he breaks down Big Daddy Kane's "Show And Prove" featuring Jay-Z, Shyheim, Sauce Money and ODB from the Daddy's Home album.

After giving Kane his props for mastering the art of the live performance, Preemo explains that Kane wanted a posse cut for the project. "Kane wanted new up-and-coming MCs as well as guys who had already gotten their feet wet in the game, but were still on the come up," he explained.

Kane's dancer, Skoob Lover, Shyheim The Rugged Child, Sauce Money, Jay-Z and Ol' Dirty Bastard became the lineup for the song. Premier explained that the video, which he was not available for because he was touring with Gang Starr, Nas, Jeru The Damaja, and Group Home was filmed at Brooklyn's Lafayette Gardens.

Preemo revealed that he mixes every song that he produced with his engineer, and then shares the finished product with the artist. "I sent a text to Kane to get some facts about this episode," he said. "Kane said that I stayed mad at him for two months because he mixed the song without me. I mix my own records. I learned that when I became a producer admiring people like Marley Marl and Larry Smith. I was mad, but I'm happy now and me and Kane are the best of friends."
