In an interview with Nardwuar J. Cole revealed that he told Dr. Dre about Kendrick Lamar, prior to Lamar's discovery. After a long pause Cole replied, "Who told you that? Who gave you that piece of information?" And finally, "yes I did."
Last Month Cole famously stepped away from a potential war of words between himself and Kendrick Lamar. "It's one part of that shit that makes me feel like it's the lamest shit I ever did in my fuckin' life, " he said of a retracted Kendrick Lamar diss. "Y'all heard that bazooka that was dropped on the game two or three weeks ago. [My dudes] are like 'What you gonna do Cole?'"
