Daz shot to stardom as a rapper and producer on the influential west coast imprint, Death Row Records in the early 90s. A member of the legendary group, Tha Dog Pound with Kurupt, Daz established himself as a standout producer while on the label, playing an instrumental role in shaping its sound alongside Dr. Dre, and working on Dre's classic The Chronic, before handling a lot of the production on Snoop's classic debut, Doggystyle. His work on the 1994 soundtracks Above the Rim and Murder Was the Case preceded his efforts on Dogg Pound's 1995 era-establishing debut, Dogg Food, and his work on 2Pac's All Eyez On Me. In all, the Grammy-nominated rapper/producer has released eight albums with Tha Dogg Pound and 19 solo projects, and also founded his own label D.P.G. Recordz with Soopafly.
No word as of yet on his exact plans for his new studio property.
