Daz Dillinger is an icon of West Coast Hip-Hop. As one-half of the legendary Dogg Pound, the rapper/producer (formerly known as Dat Nigga Daz) became a superstar on Death Row Records alongside his partner in rhyme Kurupt. But it was his production skill that really established Daz as a unique talent on Death Row, not an easy thing in the sizable shadow of Dr. Dre.

But Daz managed to carve his own legacy with his unique brand of G-Funk. Over his distinct keys and synths, some of the label's most iconic songs and albums came to life. He did work on The Chronic, studying the craft from Dre; before taking the driver's seat for so much of Snoop Doggy Dogg's classic debut Doggystyle a year later. By the time Death Row dropped the Above The Rim soundtrack and Murder Was The Case (both in 1994), Daz was as important to the label's sound as the D-R-E. It all set the stage for Tha Dogg Pound's classic debut, 1995s Dogg Food.

Over the years, Daz has worked with a host of legends, and he gave 2Pac some of his best All Eyez On Me-era production. We wanted to salute the Cali king. Here are some of his best tracks.
