Black Star (Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli) have announced they'll be performing for two dates in NYC and DC this May for a series presented by Blue Note.

The announcement comes on the heels of the release of Talib Kweli's joint project with Madlib, Liberation 2 earlier this week. “This album was written, recorded and mixed over 10 years,” Kweli said of the project. “It’s expansive in concept but tight in its substance and approach. People today are taking stock of what is most important – family, health, wellness, love.”

That album, along with Black Star's most recent project, No Fear of Time, is available at Luminary. No Fear of Time was also produced entirely by Madlib, and premiered exclusively on the Luminary Podcast Network as a special episode onDave Chappelleand Black Star’s podcast,The Midnight Miracle.
