Fresh off of his Las Vegas residency, Usher brought a star-studded group of his friends and collaborators to the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show. He ripped through a medley of some of his biggest hits, backed by dancers, a marching band, acrobats and skaters with a performance that is being hailed as one of the best yet.
Early in his performance he proclaimed: "They said I wouldn't make it, they said I wouldn't be here today, but here I am," before giving his mother a shout out. Usher was joined by Alicia Keys for a rendition of her hit "If I Ain't Got You", and their duet "My Boo". Jermaine Dupri joined for "Confessions", and H.E.R. performed a guitar solo on "U Got It Bad".
"Yeah", from 2004's Confessions was the closing number, as Usher was joined onstage by Lil Jon and Ludacris.
In other Usher news, his new album Coming Home was released on yesterday (2/11), and his upcoming tour: Past Present Future was announced last week. Due to overwhelming demand 17 new shows were added to the tour not long after the announcement.
