The city of Miami is honoring record label CEO, promoter, recording artist, and entrepreneur Luther 'Uncle Luke' Campbell with a street naming on May 3 at 10am. The Luther Campbell Way unveiling happens at 58 Street NW 11th Avenue in Miami Florida.

Luke took to social media with the announcement. "From the streets of Liberty City to having a street named after me, what a journey," he posted. "This Saturday we make history. Thank you to my city, community, and everyone who believed in me! I want to see everyone there on Saturday."

In other recent Uncle Luke news, he took to social media with the claim that he started southern Hip-Hop four decades ago, but has not received recognition. "The question of the day is, I started Hip-Hop in the south, in 1985 right here in Miami," the mogul said. "My question is why ain't nobody talkin' about it," he continued.

"40 years! This year is 40 years. We should be havin' celebrations all over the south. The birth of southern Hip-Hop. The people in Miami should be talkin' about it. Why y'all ain't talkin' about it? It would be givin' me too much credit, huh. Don't take my word, Google 1985 'Throw The D'".
