Nasir Jones just may be the busiest man in Hip-Hop these days. What is undeniable is that he is experiencing the most prolific period of his 30-year recording career.
On the heels of the third installment of his King's Disease series, rapper 21 Savage questioned Nasty Nas' relevance in contemporary Hip-Hop, crediting the Queensbridge wordsmith's current popularity to a loyal and dedicated fanbase. Nas barely responded to the slight, simply posting the word "LOVE" with a smiling emoji earlier this month.
After facing backlash, 21 clarified his comments on Twitter, writing, “I would never disrespect [N]as or any legend who paved the way for me," 21 tweeted. "Y’all be tryna take stuff and run with it."
In a surprise move, Nas and 21 Savage dropped the Hit-Boy-produced duet "One Mic, One Gun" at midnight on Tuesday (11/29). The horn-heavy, trap-inspired track sees the two rappers trade verses in a show of solidarity.
