There's been talk all over social media after 21 Savage made what some people thought were offensive comments about Nas.
“I would never disrespect [N]as or any legend who paved the way for me," 21 tweeted. "Y’all be tryna take stuff and run with it."
The issue stemmed from comments 21 made in a recent Clubhouse conversation. “I don’t feel like he’s relevant," he said of Nas. "I just feel like he got a loyal fan base. He still makes good music,” he said. When asked about his definition of "relevance" he replied, “Mostly connected or appropriate to what’s being done to be considered.”
Following the flare up, Kodak Black jumped into the mix. “Nas that n-gga, homie," he said in a social media clip. "I know I can (I know I can) / Be what I wanna be (Be what I wanna be) / If I work hard at it (If I work hard at it) / I’ll be where I wanna be. You crazy, boy! The f-ck? Nas that boy. Homie, you tripping."
For Nas' part, he hasn't responded, though he did stop by Trevor Noah's The Daily Show to talk about King's Disease III. You can watch that clip below.
