Snoop Dogg's Post Reveals Possible 'Detox' Track Listing

Snoop Dogg's Post Reveals Possible 'Detox' Track Listing

On March 31, Snoop Dogg posted to social media, "The Chronic is bac," with a picture of him and Dre in the studio. A whiteboard in the background contained what appears to be a track listing for the elusive — and long awaited — Detox album by Dr. Dre.

In 2015, Dre explained on his radio show, The Pharmacy: "This is something you're not gonna hear many artists say, the reason that Detox didn't come out is because I didn't like it. It wasn't good. I mean I worked my ass off on it, but I didn't think that I did a good enough job."

Detox, the long-awaited album by Dr. Dre, has become somewhat of an urban legend in Hip-Hop. In the early 2000’s — after establishing his Aftermath Entertainment label, and achieving incredible success with Eminem’s Slim Shady Lp and his own 2001 — Dre declared that Detox would be his final album.

Two decades, and many production delays later, Detox has become the butt of many Hip-Hop jokes — with many thinking that it will never see the light of day.

Detox “sightings” have been as common as UFO and Bigfoot sightings, and Rock The Bells reported in November of 2020 that a track listing for the elusive album had been possibly leaked. In August of last year, we reported that Detox was possibly coming to fruition after the legendary Grandmaster Flash met with Dre and announced that Dre’s next project would, "change the game."

Could this be another fake out? Absolutely. But we'd like to think this might be the real deal.
