Snoop Dogg is getting in business with his fellow Hip-Hop icon and Mt. Westmore bandmate, Ice Cube. According to TMZ, Snoop is buying an ownership stake in Cube's BIG3 basketball league. Snoop and PayPal co-founder Ken Howery reportedly put together $625,000 in order to purchase a 40 percent stake in BIG3 team “Bivouac."

The team went winless last season due to injuries.

“I’m in here with the big Snoop D-O-Double-G,” Cube said backstage with Snoop. “It’s that BIG3 owner shit, goin’ down. You heard it from the Dogg’s mouth, man. Get you a team, stop trippin’, stop playin’ with us.”

“The BIG3 is on the leading edge of enabling blockchain technology as utility,” said PayPal co-founder Ken Howery.

“The league’s embrace of NFTs as ownership rights is both visionary and practical; key features of every smart investment.”

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Snoop, Ken, and their communities on board with the BIG3,” said BIG3 co-founder Cube via statement. “Having someone with Ken’s knowledge and experience wanting to be a part of our league demonstrates that we are moving in the right direction. Snoop is an undisputed legend who has jumped headfirst into the Web3 space and clearly understands the importance and the value of what we are trying to create. Together, I know they will take Bivouac to new heights and we can’t wait to get started.”

Snoop and Howery reportedly purchased all 25 Fire for Bivouac at $25,000 each: the team’s stock was divided into blockchains. Remaining editions will be available Saturday (May 7) for Discord members.

To say Snoop has been diversifying his portfolio as of late would be an understatement. The rap superstar made headlines in February when he purchased his former record label, Death Row Records.
