Snoop Dogg Reveals How He and 50 Cent Have Assisted Hip-Hop Legends

Snoop Dogg recently revealed to All The Smoke that he and 50 Cent have provided financial assistance to Hip-Hop pioneers who needed it.

"You've got to take care of your own, you've got to set an example," he said.

He also shared that he'd rather provide the assistance privately.

"We do it privately. I've done it many years with some of the artists that needed help, physically and financially. It's not a public thing for me. I'm not going to say, 'I helped him.' But when they did that publicly, that's what it's supposed to be."

Snoop encouraged other successful artists to follow his lead. "Respect your elders because you're making all this money, not that you have to, but if you love this rapper, and you see that he's down on his luck, he may need money but he has pride. He can't even ask you, because he used to be you," he said.

Snoop added that 50 Cent has partnered with him to assist rappers in need. "There's been many times where me and 50 Cent have have called some of our O.G.'s and put bags on 'em," he recalled.

Snoop didn't name any particular artists, but he says that he and 50 are built that way. "That's who we are, that's who me and 50 are," he said. "It's happened a few times, that's why I can bring [50's] name up."
