One of the most unorthodox voices in Hip-Hop, Sadat X of Brand Nubian dropped the new single and video "From Nixxas To Gods" today (9/28).

The bulk of the video is shot in front of The Allah School In Mecca, originally known as the Urban League Street Academy started by Clarence 13X and head of New York's Urban Task Force Barry Gottehrer. The school is at the same location where Brand Nubian's 1990 video for "Wake Up" was filmed.

"From Nixxas To God's is about elevating one's mindset and actions, as X spits: "A God handles his finances/a nixxa will take chances/I can't determine what's in a man's mind/I'm just tryin' to get right wit' mine."

The video highlights several Gods attentively observing Sadat drop jewels over the slow-tempo GiveEmSoul-produced track.

"From Nixxas to Gods" is the title track from Sadat’s forthcoming full-length project, executive produced by Doughnetworkz. The project features production work almost entirely by GiveEmSoul with additional production courtesy of Khrysis (Justus League) and Roc Marciano. Guest features on the project include Jay Worthy, Knowledge The Pirate, T.F., Musalini, Planet Asia, Dot Demo, Sauce Heist, Crimeapple, Jay Nice, D. Shawn, Tioana Denice and Jalisa.
