Shawna and Mia have gone through continuous ups and downs, but in this episode we’ll see if they can rise above all the extra noise, and level up as a group. 

Shawna’s least favorite artist, Reina Rain, opened the show with the most cringe-worthy two minute video that went viral, and the comments were going crazy. To set the scene, she was sitting in a luxurious car, in a bathing suit and heels, shouting random things that she thought sounded cool, but were actually very uncomfortable. Francios Boom was shocked at what he’d seen and told Reina she couldn’t go anywhere without him anymore. 

Meanwhile, Shawna is still recovering from her wild outburst at the live performance the night before, and Mia has yet to respond to any of her texts or calls. She went to work later that morning to find that another guy was at the front desk in place of Maurice, who she still hasn’t heard from either. She asked her coworker if Maurice swapped his shift, and she laughed and offered her some advice saying “don’t get attached, Maurice is always going to look out for Maurice!”

At Mia’s house, she was still in the bed with Lamont, regrouping from the night until Melissa knocked on the door asking her mom to make her some breakfast. They both jumped up, and Lamont left out the window so they wouldn’t confuse her about what was happening. 

Later that day, Mia’s best friends came over to talk to her about what had happened at the live performance and she was still livid about the situation, claiming she was done wasting time and done with the group. 

The girls decided they needed a fun night out, and went to G5ive, a popular strip club in Miami. They ended up having a ball too, from beginning to end! The DJ recognized Mia as they arrived at their table, shouted her out and played “Seduce and Scheme” as they sat down. They received a free bottle of champagne, and then a guy from a different table, who ended up being another rapper Ca$h Cha$er The Goat, sent 3 more bottles over to their table. As the night went on, Mia went Live, showing off how much fun they were having, and told her followers she only had two girlfriends and they were standing right next to her, throwing obvious shade at Shawna. 

After the club, Ca$h Cha$er pulled up on Mia as she was getting in the car and asked if her and her friends wanted to go out to eat, she said only if she could choose the place and they all went to a local diner.

Mia and Ca$h Cha$er had a long conversation about his intentions, their lives, their pasts, everything seemed to be going really smoothly. Then a couple of Ca$h’s fans came up and asked for a picture with him. He took a few selfies then mentioned that Mia was hard too, so they asked to get a photo with her and it was evident Mia was feelin’ him even more. 

Once they left the diner, Ca$h asked if he could spend time with her the next day but she said she had to go to work. He smiled, gave her a few stacks of cash and told her to call him if she changed her mind. 

Mia and her friends got in the car and screamed. They had a great night, but after spending time with Ca$h she was reconsidering getting back in the group so she could potentially be a power couple one day, and totally seemed over the idea of getting back with Lamont.

When Shawna got off of work, she had a completely different type of night. She headed to the bus stop to head home, but a lot happened from the time she walked to the bus until she sat in her seat. Chastity called her but she ignored it. Then she texted Cliff for the first time since their extremely dramatic break up with a simple “hey.” And Maurice finally called her back, but had bad news. Maurice revealed that he was in jail all that time that he wasn’t responding, expressing that they caught him selling the computers they scammed. 

Shawna freaked out when she heard he got locked up but he reassured her everything was fine and told her to relax. However, she did everything but that. She got home, ran to her room, deleted all the credit cards and evidence of scamming off her computer and phone, then went down a spiral. She threw away her old rap mask, the afro wig, and tore up her old raps. But it all came to a halt when she got a text back from Cliff saying he missed her. 

Things got even more interesting after that. Shawna changed her clothes and went to Francois’ studio to meet with him. She told him she was ready to make the changes he had been suggesting for years and get to the money together.  

Before the night was over, Chastity group-texted Shawna and Mia asking them to meet her at the park the next morning. They all met up and Chastity spoke her mind about being the one who got them to where they are, adding that she felt disrespected about the way things went down at the performance. She wouldn’t let either of them speak, and threw in a slight threat before walking away telling them that nothing goes on in the city without her knowing, so she can either continue to build them or break them.

Shawna chuckled but Mia was on the same page as Chastity telling Shawna her ego was going to get in the way of their success. She continued to express her feelings about knowing her worth in the group and being a part of the reason they’re so poppin’. Shawna agreed and apologized for the way she acted. She told Mia they didn’t have to be friends but she still wanted to stay in the group together and work toward the end goal. 

They both seemed to want to work it out and Shawna revealed to Mia that she got them an opportunity with Francois to go on tour with a big artist. Mia said she’d only do it if Chastity was a part of it and while Shawna didn’t really want to include Chastity, they both shook hands and acceded. 

Later that night Mia and Shawna linked up to let their followers know they were still a group and also announced that they were going on tour with Reina Rain! Shawna still didn’t think Reina was a good artist and didn’t like that she seemingly appropriated black culture, but she was all in regardless. Francois popped some champagne at the hotel cabana to celebrate with all the ladies, but the celebration ended quickly when Shawna went to get glasses from the bar and the police were in the lobby looking for her! 

It seems once again, Shawna’s decisions are at the center of another group setback. But y’all know what they say, “just a minor setback for a major comeback.”
