Unique has nothing to lose, making him even more dangerous than when he was on the street. He robs Raq's stash house at the bodega, committing the ultimate hustler's sin.
When Raq arrives for a routine check-in, both Julianna and all of her money are gone. She can't reach Julianna by phone or at home, so she calls in reinforcements: Lou-Lou and Marvin. But Lou-Lou is in the studio, and Marvin is in anger management.
At Bulletproof Records, Lou-Lou and Crown continue to butt heads. Jukebox is finally in the booth with her Uncle behind the board. She sounds incredible, and everyone in the recording session agrees she is an amazing talent. However, Crown critiques her appearance and even says she should look like a hoochie. Although Lou-Lou doesn't like Crown's delivery, he does think she could 'bring out her beauty a little more.' Disappointed; Jukebox just leaves.
During anger management, the group therapist, Renee, diagnoses Marvin's usual response to any perceived threat as "open aggression." She teaches him a breathing technique he can use to de-escalate hostile situations. Although he continues to treat the meetings like a joke, he learns it and even does some light flirting with Renee.
Raq eventually tracks down both her brothers so they can strategize. Raq immediately (and correctly) assumes Unique is behind the robbery, but Lou-Lou and Marvin aren't so sure. They float a few different theories but ultimately decide to hunt down Unique.
Detective Howard rolls up on Kanan. He surprises him with the baffling news we already know: he is his father. Initially stunned, all Kanan can do is laugh. The conversation is terribly awkward, and Kanan makes up an excuse to leave.
He meets up with Famous, who still doesn't have a place to live after his mom kicked him out of the house. He needs rent money – fast. So Kanan steals a g-pack from the family's drug operation at the Baisley projects. Ingeniously, they package the dope in Famous' mixtape cassette cases and sell it on the street without the police ever suspecting a thing.
Meanwhile, Jukebox secretly tails her mom and follows her into a church. She watches as her mother, Kenya, leads the choir during a rehearsal. Her singing is just as beautiful as Jukebox's. Then Kenya spots Jukebox. They are both startled, and Jukebox takes off. Kenya goes after her, but Jukebox is too quick.
Shannon continues to meddle in Detective Howard's life. She is certain he is lying about the shooting – in her defense, he does expect everyone to believe he doesn't remember anything. Shannon discusses it with a few fellow officers but still isn't able to turn up any new information.
Kanan and Jukebox are figuring out what he should do, if anything, about his run-in with Detective Howard when Raq walks right in. Kanan just tells his mother everything. She literally laughs it off and writes Howard off as unpredictable and unstable.
Crown comes to see Raq. After she barged into the studio looking for her brother, he saw an opportunity. He offers her a piece of the business essentially for free, so they push Lou-Lou back into dealing full-time. Raq is considering the deal when she gets a call from Worrell – he has a line on Unique.
The crew, Raq, Lou-Lou, and Marvin, enter Unique's shop cautiously, sending Worrell in first. They can't be sure who's team he's on. They find Unique alone with a gun pointed at Julianna's neck. He acted as a lone wolf. Raq, Lou-Lou, and Marvin also have their guns drawn. And the group has a relatively civil discussion considering the meeting could turn fatal at any moment.
Unique asks for peace. He doesn't want him, or any of his family touched. Raq and her brothers decide not to kill him for various reasons. The police will know it was them, and he has zero backing; it's unnecessary. She agrees to a peace treaty in exchange for her "fucking money."
In the episode's final moments, Howard pulls up on Kanan again. This time he has a little more credibility. He divulges he does remember Kanan shot him, blowing up the theory he is unreliable.
He leaves Kanan confused as he starts to question his mother's story.
