A short snippet which appears to feature Kanye West and Freddie Gibbs on a piano heavy Alchemist beat has appeared online and has fans talking. The 9 second snippet appeared on X on yesterday (2/13) and features a sing-songy Kanye line, and the beginning of a Freddie Gibbs verse.

The fact that Kanye and the Alchemist have never released music together has fans buzzing. Gibbs and The Alchemist have collaborated before, namely on Alfredo, a collaborative project from 2020. In 2018 Curren$y, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist released Fetti. Alfredo was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

In other Alchemist news, the producer revealed that the beat for his new release, "Westside" with Courtney Bell and Royce Da 5'9" was created almost a decade ago. "2015 work. Stays fresh. No preservatives," he posted on IG along with a video of the beat blasting from his Akai MPC 2500.
