Over the years the Don Cheadle-Freddie Gibbs lookalike jokes have been plenty, and they continued last night on Cheadle's birthday when a fan jokingly wished the actor a "happy birthday" alongside a photo of Gibbs.

Gibbs responded,  “Happy birthday to The Don, my mentor @DonCheadle.” And Cheadle replied, “We gonna get it in one of these days, fam …” to which Gibbs responded, “I challenge you.” Cheadle wrote back: “You misunderheard my tweet, daddy-o!!” Cheadle wrote back, with Gibbs replying: “My bad,” along with laughing emojis. Cheadle ended the exchange by calling Gibbs a “goofy bastard.”

As HipHopDX points out, the two have crossed paths before, meeting for the first time at the Super Bowl, which both of them shared on social media.

“N-gga walked up to me last night and said ‘people say we look alike’ and it was Don Cheadle,” Gibbs wrote at the time. “The fucking goat.” Cheadle confirmed the meeting, writing, “true story. great meeting you, nephew. to be continued."

With Freddie Gibbs kickstarting his acting career, the possibility of him working with the Oscar-nominated actor soon is fairly feasible. At any rate, check the exchange below.
