Rapper T.I. made headlines last week after he was booed during a stand-up comedy performance at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Atlanta Hip-Hop icon has been branching out into stand-up as of late, and the crowd at Barclays gave T.I.-the-comedian a decidedly cold reception. But in the comments section of a Shade Room post about the incident, fellow rapper Nelly came to T.I.'s defense.
The St. Louis rap star voiced his support for Tip, acknowledging that this is what comes with comedy.
“Tell me what comedian hasn’t got booed?” Nelly wrote. “Apart{sic] of earning ya stripes. That’s a part of entertainment. Period."
