On Sunday, April 3rd, at the Dreamville Festival in Raleigh North Carolina, DJ Drama's Gangsta Grillz set featured Jeezy, Lil Wayne and T.I., who Wayne announced from the stage. The two then embraced.

"When I pulled up, I heard the motherfucking King on stage, shout out to motherfucking T.I." Wayne said to the crowd. "You already know what it is. That's my real brother right there. That's my daughter's uncle, man. Y'all don't even understand, you feel me?"

Lil Wayne and T.I. have have not been seen in public together since a 2016 feud between the two. The bad blood was fueled by Lil Wayne telling ABC News in an interview that he didn’t relate to Black Lives Matter and their cause. T.I. later posted the clip of the interview to his social media, with the caption:

“Wayne I’ve known you for over a decade. Our daughters grew up together practically. Reginae’ spent countless times at my house with Niq-Niq when you were in prison & you extended my daughter the same courtesy when I was in the same position. Our relationship outside of music is what makes me sensitive to your disposition. I KNOW you wired bit different than most responsible adults, but still n***a U TRIPPING!!!!”

Lil Wayne later apologized for his remarks, but the "Swagger Like Us" artists have not performed or recorded together since the 2016 incident. This year's Dreamville Festival was livestreamed via Amazon Music's Rotation on Prime and Twitch. The festival debuted in 2019, but the Covid 19 pandemic prevented it from taking place in 2020 and 2021. J. Cole, Khelani, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Ja Rule and Ashanti also performed at this year's festival.
