NBA All-Star Weekend has arrived, and Hip-Hop has always played a big role in the fun — from concerts, and appearances, to participating in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, and everything in between. This year, the festivities will take place in Salt Lake City,

Of course, basketball players have never been shy about sharing their listening preferences (we all remember Michael Jordan infamously bumping Kenny Latimore on the bus in The Last Dance). Naturally, rappers top the list for a lot of ballers. That said, take a look at which Hip-Hop classics are go-to picks for some of your favorite all-stars.

LeBron James: Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg

By now LeBron's love for Hip-Hop isn't news. Last year, he revealed his top 5 favorite rap albums of all time – Dre. Dre's 1992 classic, The Chronic, Snoop Dogg's 1993 landmark album Doggystyle, Jay-Z's 2003 gem, The Black Album, Biggie's final effort, 1997's Life After Death, and Nas' classic sophomore album, It Was Written.

Kyrie Irving: J. Cole

Kyrie Irving has long been vocal about his appreciating for J. Cole. "He’s a hero of mine," he told Bally Sports Network in 20022. “He’s been a staple in the culture for a long time now since a little bit before the 2010s. I’ve always taken inspiration and motivation from other artists.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo: J. Cole, 2Pac, Kendrick Lamar

When Giannis was asked about his favorite rappers during an Instagram Live in 2020, his reply was solid: J. Cole, 2Pac, and Kendrick Lamar. On the flip side, rappers have regularly shouted Giannis out in songs, from Styles P ("Beloved" with Dave East) and Public Enemy ("Toxic") to Lil Wayne ("Big Bad Wolf") and Rapsody "Chrome (Like Ooh)."
